I once heard it said that the month of May is like December without presents. That’s why I’m calling it May MADNESS! While I know it’s almost over, I am definitely feeling the busyness as I navigate these rapid waters to the finish line. How about you?
Let’s see… It started with Mother’s day. Followed by band concerts, swim meets, year-end school projects, piano recitals, and of course, end of grade tests. Next, we have teacher appreciation, thank you gifts, graduation parties and even a wedding. Can it get any better? How can one month be so blessed? Summer isn’t even here! I think I’m going to need a vacation.
Now I am also thinking of my two friends who have recently experienced some big losses. One lost a parent and now a cousin. The other received bad news about a serious illness. Do I value each precious moment in my life? Do I remember to walk in His peace regardless of the to-do list?
Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer,
The Holy One of Israel:
“ I am the LORD your God,
Who teaches you to profit,
Who leads you by the way you should go.
18 Oh, that you had heeded My commandments!
Then your peace would have been like a river,
And your righteousness like the waves of the sea. ISAIAH 48:17-18
Oh Lord, please lead me where I should go so I might have peace like a river.
Your way Lord! Not mine.
Oh Lord, help me to celebrate the life you gave me and value what is important.
Friends, Family and YOU!
P.S. While May comes to an end, let us celebrate our courageous veterans who served our wonderful country. I’d just like to say “THANKS SO MUCH!!” Because of your sacrifice, I can enjoy the freedoms we have here in the good old U.S.A.
