To tell the truth, I didn’t wanna do it. I just didn’t wanna do it!
Take a look at this picture and tell me if you would have volunteered to decorate this Christmas tree. A friend cornered me to help and as usual I couldn’t say that word – NO.
I thought this task would take about 2 hours. But I didn’t know how big this tree was! I heard that some guys had to tie the tree to a truck and use the engine’s power to pull the tree to its feet.
And so, in the midst of a busy Christmas season, not having decorated one thing for my own house yet, I went to help. I have never strung so many lights on a tree before. I also discovered that when you string more than 5 stands of lights together that they don’t work unless you connect them to a separate extension cord. Nice knowing that now!
It took me over 6 hours of my time that week. As you might discern, I was not a happy camper on the inside. However, I did my best to put on a smiling face and help. Why? Because they needed help. And I could.
And you know what?
this. Christmas Concert at Hope Chapel was the BEST EVER!
And I am so glad that I did help! 😀
