Hello Beautiful Friends and Family,
For those of you who know me well, you know I LOVE missions. It’s been my heart’s dream to do missions work, but somehow I got lost along the way with working to pay the bills and raising a family. But it’s never too late to start, right?
So now I know… it’s time, and I decided to travel with a team from my local church Hope Chapel Apex to Tizimin, Mexico as we will partner with DCI (Direct Christian Impact).
Take a look at this video and see what it’s all about…..
Our team will be working closely with the Mayan people to share the love of Jesus. We will teach the children, the teens and adults the Word of God through Vacation Bible School, Street Evangelism, Adult Bible School, as well as providing practical services and repairs. In essence, we will do whatever is asked of us through DCI to help. Doesn’t this sound exciting?
I’ve been praying and preparing along with my team, planning various activities including sports, crafts, songs and games. Specifically, I will be learning the song I Put on Christ with dance to teach our team that we may share it with the people. If you are interested, here’s a video of that song, but I still have to work through the movements that will make it fun.
To help raise monies to pay for my trip, I have been volunteering at Dorcas Ministries, for the Above and Beyond Ministries will donate $25 for every 1 hour of service here in my area, up to 25% of my trip. In addition, I have participated in a Silent Auction, to sell my services (like crocheting an Afghan, cooking a dinner, etc.) to raise money. As I work through this process to “Send Me Lord”, I am believing God is going to do some amazing things, both in me and through me, and with our team and for the Mayan peoples as we all step out in faith.
So would you pray for me and our team, for protection and grace to do what the Lord desires? We leave on Saturday, July 22 and will return home on July 29.
And if you feel led, you can still help me with donations by clicking HERE.
Thank you so much. May the Lord bless you.
