I saw myself in an exclusive ladies apparel shop browsing all the lovely merchandise.
All of the clothes were exquisitely hand-made with fabulous fabrics. In addition, there were sheek shoes, fashionable scarves and jewelry, and an amazing assortment of accessories. Overwhelmed at all the choices, I didn’t know where to begin.
The owner sees me and quickly hires me on the spot. Finding a suitable, yet simple and attractive outfit, I started working, but all these thoughts run through my head…
– What am I doing here?
– How am I going to do this job?
– Where will I find the time? …..
I finish my day as best I can, and the owner returns with these encouraging words, “You did great! You must familiarize yourself with all the items in my shop. There is a perfect outfit for each lady. Your job is to help ladies get beautifully dressed.”
I WAKE UP.
In dream language, clothing refers to a person’s covering and could provide symbolic clues to your dream. Is your dress clean or dirty? New or old? New or clean clothing could represent your new life in Christ, while dirty or old clothing refers to sin or an old lifestyle. The fabric and colors could also be significant, as well as knowing the type of activity you might do with this attire.
Sometimes I like to think of clothing as God’s anointing on your life. Don’t be tempted to compare yourself with others, for God has a perfect outfit for each person. It’s based on how He has uniquely created you – both inside and out. It’s includes your natural characteristics, your personal style, and what assignments He has for you on planet earth.
Have you asked God what to wear? I believe He wants it to be comfortable, clean, well-fitting, and appropriate for the type of work you’ll be doing. I love this revealing scripture:
10 I delight greatly in the LORD;
my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10
Rather than decking the halls as usual, let’s get beautifully dressed to celebrate our King this holiday season. Let’s desire His garments of praise and His robe of righteousness for all our shopping needs – not just for clothes but for everything we do.
Do you wanna go shopping with God? This year He has some perfect gifts just for you.
Have you visited His store yet?
